Clinical efficacy of the correction of midface depression with structural fat grafting / 中华医学美学美容杂志

Objective To explore the clinical effects of correction the midface depression.Methods From Aug.2010 to Aug.2015,185 cases of midface depression (aged from 18 to 61 years)were corrected by using structural fat grafting technique,the site and volume were placed as follows,tear trough 1ml,lid cheek groove 2 ml,midcheek groove 0.5 ml,anteriorcheek 4-8 ml,nasolabial fold 1-2 ml,nasal alar base 1-2 ml,evator labii superioris 1-2 ml,zygomaticus major 1-2 ml,buccinator 1-3 ml,and upper lip 3-5 ml.Results 185 cases were followed from 3 months to 3 years and the results were evaluated by visual analogue scales;156 cases of midface depression were corrected after the first structural fat grafting,the midface changed from concave to convex,and acquired prominent malar became more attractive;satisfaction of visual analogue scales were more than 80 ％;only 12 cases needed a second grafting.Conclusions The midface concavity can be corrected effectively by using structural fat grafting technique,the results are satisfied and the technique is safe,simple and effective.

Clinical efficacy of autologous fat grafting with platelet-rich plasma for facial rejuvenation / 中华医学美学美容杂志

Objective This single-center prospective,case-controlled study was carried out to investigate clinical effects on patients with aging face who underwent facial autologous fat grafting with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).Methods Thirty patients with facial sagging or partial depression and requiring autologous fat grafting were randomly selected for the study.Photograph and 3D scanning were taken before and 3-month after the operation.Patient and physician satisfaction was rated using Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) ranging from 1 (most unsatisfactory) to 10 (most satisfactory)3 months after the operation.Statistical difference between the patient and physician satisfactory scores was analyzed.Results The average physician VAS score was 7.9 ± 1.0 while the average patient VAS score was 8.0±1.2.The scores between two groups had no significant difference (P＞ 0.05).Four patients developed bruising and swelling postoperatively that disappeared less than 7 days later.There was no feed back of serious complications from patients.Further investigation of patients with scores less than 7 showed the main reason of low patient satisfaction was that the improvement of facial depression did not meet the requirements of the patient,and fat absorption led to unsatisfactory filling.Conclusions The high satisfactory scores indicate good aesthetic result of facial autologous fat grafting with PRP.PRP may lead to higer survival rate of fat and satisfaction.

Influences of improved low negative pressure mechanical liposuction and syringe liposuction on breast augmentation by autologous fat grafting / 中华医学美学美容杂志

Objective To investgate the efficiency of autologous fat grafting for breast augmentation by improving low negative pressure mechanical liposuction.Methods A total of 37 cases of breast augmentation by autologous fat grafting were reviewed;group A included 19 cases of improved low pressure mechanical liposuction,and group B had 18 cases of traditional syringe liposuction.Respectively,the operating time of harvesting 800 ml fat granules (standing 30 mins) were recorded,and operative blood loss by testing the red blood cell count of lower mixed liquid was calculated,and then growth increment of nipple chest circumference of 6 months after operation were measured.The valid follow-up satisfaction scores were counted.Results The operating time of harvesting 800 ml fat granules were (53.32±4.73) mins for group A and (80.78±7.86) mins for group B,respectively;operative blood loss was (81.58±10.80) ml for group A and (72.94±13.45) ml for group B;All P＜0.05.The valid follow-up satisfaction scores were 78.9％ (15/19) for group A and 77.7％ (14/19) for group B.Growth increment of nipple chest circumference of 6 months after operation between groups were no statistical significance (P＞0.05);but the remarkable difference within both groups in internal comparison existed between 6 months and 1 month after operation (P＜0.05),also between 3 months and 1 month after operation (P＜0.05).Conclusions Improved low pressure mechanical liposuction in breast augmentation by autologous fat grafting is able to enhance the surgical efficiency evidently and shorten the operating time significantly.
